Built for mobile, active and professional use

The PEAK range is engineered around portability — protective design, sturdy handles, rugged exterior. Where the BASE 5.0 is built to sit in a utility room or motorhome locker as fixed infrastructure, the PEAK 3.6 is built to be moved between vehicles, sites and uses. At 36kg it’s genuinely portable for two-person handling, and the protective casework takes the bumps and scrapes that come with active use.

  • Campervan & motorhome owners: serious capacity for extended off-grid stays without a fixed-install lithium upgrade
  • Skilled trades: on-site power for tools, lighting and welfare without diesel generators — clean, quiet, plenty of headroom for the heaviest loads
  • Mobile professionals: film production, photography, mobile workshops, location filming — stable pure-sine power for sensitive equipment
  • Marine & boating: integrated battery + inverter eliminates the bolted-on inverter that traditional leisure-battery setups rely on
  • Emergency & home backup: UPS-style switchover keeps fridges, routers, freezers and medical equipment running through power cuts
  • Hybrid solar / vehicle setups: three combined input sources give flexibility to charge from whatever’s available

3.6kW pure sine wave inverter, 7kW peak surge

The on-board inverter delivers 3,600W of continuous pure sine wave power, with a 7,000W peak surge for under one second to handle inrush from motors and compressors. Pure sine output means no risk to sensitive electronics — medical equipment, modern fridges, computers, audio gear and inverter-driven appliances all behave exactly as they would on grid power.

For context: a 2,000W kettle plus a 1,000W microwave running together pulls 3,000W — well within the PEAK 3.6’s 3,600W continuous rating with headroom for a coffee machine alongside. A power tool with a 6,500W start-up surge is comfortably handled by the 7,000W peak. The 3.6kW continuous figure puts this unit in the league of premium home backup systems — in a portable form factor.

UPS-style backup — 8–20ms switchover

Plug your essential appliances into the PEAK 3.6’s AC outputs and feed grid power through the unit. When the power cuts, the PEAK 3.6 hands over from grid to battery in 8–20 milliseconds — fast enough to keep computers, routers, fridges, freezers and most home medical equipment running without rebooting.

  • Pass-through mode: grid power flows through the unit while the battery sits topped up
  • Automatic failover: when grid drops, battery kicks in within 20ms
  • Automatic recovery: when grid returns, the unit switches back and resumes charging
  • Suitable as an UPS for home offices, server cabinets, freezers full of stock, oxygen concentrators and CPAP machines

15 output ports for genuine versatility

Run almost any device you own without needing a single adapter or extension lead.

3 × AC sockets UK 3-pin, 220–240V / 50Hz pure sine wave — for high-power mains appliances
4 × USB-A ports 5V / 9V / 12V smart-charge ports, up to 18W each (shared)
2 × USB-C ports Up to 100W PD — fast-charges modern laptops, tablets, phones
2 × wireless charging pads Up to 15W each — for compatible smartphones
1 × DC 5525 port 12V / 5A — for LED strips, small fans, monitors
1 × XT60 output 12V / 30A high-current DC — ideal for diesel heaters and high-draw DC equipment
1 × aux car port 12V / 10A standard cigarette-lighter socket — for DC fridges and vehicle accessories

All DC outputs are smart-regulated — they detect what’s plugged in and deliver the correct voltage and current automatically.

Scales from 3kWh to 15kWh as your needs grow

The PEAK 3.6 is designed as the host unit for an expandable system. Start with one PEAK 3.6 at 3,072Wh. Add PEAK 3.0-EB extra batteries as your capacity needs grow. Scale all the way up to 4 EB units linked to a single host for a total of 15,360Wh of LiFePO₄ storage.

  • 1 host: 3,072Wh — weekend off-grid, day’s worth of trade tools, home backup essentials
  • 1 host + 1 EB: 6,144Wh — week-long off-grid, full home backup
  • 1 host + 2 EB: 9,216Wh — serious off-grid use, multi-day welfare cabin
  • 1 host + 4 EB: 15,360Wh — the maximum, equivalent to ~1,200Ah at 12.8V

Power and charge sharing across all linked units happens automatically. Capacity scales linearly; output capability stays at the host’s 3.6kW.

Three combined input sources, all simultaneous

The PEAK 3.6’s power management can accept charge from multiple sources at the same time. The standout figure: 2,550W combined DC input via two XT60 solar inputs (1,200W each) plus a separate 5521 DC input (150W). Solar charging this fast on a portable power station is genuinely rare.

AC mains charging — 1.8 hours

From flat to full in approximately 1.8 hours on a standard 13A UK wall outlet. Fast enough to top up between jobs or overnight without worry.

Solar / hybrid renewable — 1.4 hours

Two MPPT XT60 inputs each accept 32–150V at up to 1,200W — full charge in 1.4 hours from a properly-sized array. Compatible with Sherpa SunFold 220 / SunFold 300 and most third-party MC4-terminated panels (using the supplied MC4-XT60 cables). The dual-input MPPT controller also handles wind (DC) and hydroelectric (DC) inputs for fully off-grid setups.

Vehicle charging — 6 hours fast (with CHARGE-500)

The supplied vehicle adapter cable enables slow trickle charging (~32 hours full charge) from a standard 12V cigarette socket. Pair with the Sherpa CHARGE-500 alternator charger to get a full charge in approximately 6 hours of driving — turning engine hours into stored energy.

Automotive-grade LiFePO₄ cells — 3,500+ cycles

The PEAK 3.6 uses automotive-grade lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) cells — the safest, longest-lived lithium chemistry available. Rated for 3,500+ cycles to 80% original capacity, which translates to 10+ years of daily use from full to empty before any noticeable capacity drop. In practice, most users never come close to that cycle count and can expect 15+ years of useful life.

  • No cobalt, no nickel — reduced thermal-runaway risk vs NMC chemistries used in EVs and laptop batteries
  • Stable across wide temperature ranges — safer in unconditioned vehicles and outbuildings than older lithium chemistries
  • No off-gassing — safe to use in enclosed spaces where flooded or AGM lead-acid cannot be sited
  • Recyclable — LFP recycling is now established UK industry; end-of-life disposal is straightforward

Battery Management System — multi-layer protection

The PEAK 3.6’s integrated BMS continuously monitors cell voltages, current, temperature and overall pack health, and trips protection well before any cell damage can occur.

  • Over-voltage protection — prevents cell damage from over-voltage during charging
  • Low-voltage / deep-discharge protection — battery automatically cuts off output before cell damage
  • Overload protection — trips on excessive load draw to protect cells and inverter
  • Short-circuit protection — trips in microseconds on a short on the output
  • Overheat protection — trips on hot cells, hot inverter, hot ambient
  • Self-recovery: all protections self-reset automatically once the trigger condition clears, or on first re-connection of the charger. No manual intervention required for normal operation

Bluetooth & Wi-Fi monitoring

The PEAK 3.6 includes built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for live monitoring through the Sherpa companion app. Track battery state, monitor live load, set charging preferences and view system health from your phone or tablet — useful for keeping an eye on the unit when it’s in a different room, vehicle locker or roof box.

Quiet enough for indoor use

Operation noise of just 45 dB — quieter than typical office air conditioning. The PEAK 3.6 can sit in a bedroom, office or van interior without becoming intrusive. Compared to a diesel generator’s 70–80 dB, this is a genuinely different category of product.

Built for active, mobile use

The PEAK range’s key differentiator from the BASE range is genuinely portable construction. The PEAK 3.6 is heavy at 36kg — this is 3kWh of LiFePO₄ plus a 3,600W inverter — but it’s built specifically to move.

  • Sturdy handles on both sides for two-person carry where needed
  • Rugged exterior with corner protection against bumps and scratches
  • Shockproof internal construction — designed to survive vehicle vibration and the bumps of mobile use
  • Fireproof materials in the construction for added safety
  • Pairs with the optional Sherpa Trolley (sold separately) for one-handed wheeled mobility
